Desert Sage Cover Scents Made A Believer Out Of Me!!

As an Avid bowhunter, I am one who truly believes that
human scent and the wind are the first things to
ruin a hunt .Over the past few years I have used many commercial scents and even became adicted
to ScentShield-Fall Blend. In the
winter of 2002 while hunting coyotes along the river with
my bow, I decided to try both the Sagebrush
and Juniper cover scentsfrom Desert Sage.
While standing next to a small juniper tree and glassing
out into the forest, I noticed 4 Muley does running
directly toward me. With the wind blowing directly
toward them, the deer started grazing at 5,8,10 and
11 yards from me. All I could think of was
"Great cover scents". The true test came on September 6, 2003.
During the morning the wind was slightly swirling,
I have to believethat because I was wearing
both cover scents again I was able to stalk
within 20 yards of 9 cow elk and a 4 point bull
before they caught my movement.
That evening, I was walking in another very thick area
when I was able to get a bull to notice my cow calls.
As I waited at full draw for the bull to come in, I noticed
that he was turning North of me, probably trying
to wind me. While at 28 yards from me and the
wind blowing directly to him, I thought the game
was over.Instead the bull never smelled me and allowed
me to take my first elk, a 6X7 Pope and Young Bull.
